American heavy metal band formed in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1995 by percussionist Shawn Crahan, drummer Joey Jordison and bassist Paul Gray, Slipknot’s new single, “Yen,” is another taste of their upcoming album, The End, So Far.

The song continues the theme of death from the first single from the album, “The Dying Song (Time to Sing).” The title of the album, “The End, So Far,” may hint at an overall theme of, well, the end.

“You’re all I can think about. The taste is red and rusty. Can I hold you in my mouth until I fade into this form? Can you protect me? Will you breathe for me?” The band’s singer is Corey Taylor.
