On December 14, 1991, Kiari Kendrell Cephus was born. His stage name is Offset, and he is an American recording artist from Lawrenceville, Georgia. He is a member of the rap group Migos. In a July 2013 interview with FADER, the other members discussed how he joined the group:
Offset is my brother, Quavo says. He’s been around us since sixth grade. We taught him to rap in high school. We used to mess around with the beats in the basement. He only sang one song, but it was excellent. He had a good voice.
