Manchester City optimistic that Pep Guardiola will sign a new contract before the end of the year, Notjusthiphop reports.
The Spaniard’s contract expires at the conclusion of the 2022–23 season, but talks about an extension have been going on for a while. Since taking over in 2016, he and City have won four Premier League championships.
There is reportedly already a “broad agreement” with Guardiola’s representatives over a new contract that would bind him to the team until 2025, and City, who remain composed in the face of the scenario, would prefer for Guardiola to sign the contract before the end of the year.
