On July 22, Joey Badass will finally put out his new album, 2000.
On Wednesday, he told fans that the long-delayed album will now come out on a new date and that he will release a new song called “Survivors Guilt” on Thursday as a tribute to Pro-Era co-founder Capital Steez. The sad song can be heard below. It’s kind of a follow-up to their popular song “Survival Tactics,” which came out in 2012.
Capital Steez was one of the people who started the rap group Pro Era in Brooklyn. He killed himself on December 23, 2012, by jumping off the roof of the Cinematic Music Group office. He was 19 at the time.
