ericdoa, an American singer, songwriter, and record producer, is a central figure in the hyperpop/digicore genres.
Eric, initially known as Killeric, released his debut EP Bleed Vol. 1 on November 3, 2018. After the release, he changed his stage name to ericdoa. His music style has evolved from dark, trap-influenced rap to songs influenced by emo and alternative rock.
Eric is a versatile artist who writes about his life experiences and past relationships. He often blends melodic electronic influences with highly processed vocals, creating music in various genres.
In 2020, Eric was also known as dante red, where he released songs with a bit-crushed tone to them. One of his most popular songs to date, “movinglikeazombie”, was released under this alias. However, he is currently signed to Interscope Records and has put this alias on pause.
On July 7, 2019, Eric released his debut album DOA, which helped his music career gain momentum. Later, on January 7, 2020, he released his highly anticipated album Public Target. He later released a deluxe version of Public Target under the name DOA2 on March 20 of the same year.
After the release of Public Target, on November 6, 2020, Eric released his hyperpop-based album COA, which has a unique sound that captures the moods and textures of the hyperpop scene.
Eric teamed up with fellow artist and friend glaive to create the EP then i'll be happy, which was released on October 6, 2021.
On May 20, 2022, ericdoa released his long-awaited sophomore album, things with wings. The album's singles were “fool4love,” which was released on February 23, 2022, and “lifeline,” which was released on April 8, 2022.
