Lous and The Yakuza IOTA Album Download ZIP
Lous and the Yakuza’s follow-up, “IOTA,” peels away the pain and drama of her debut autobiographical album, “Gore.” The Congolese-Belgian singer and songwriter doesn’t describe her music as therapeutic, just a way to express herself. Her second album shows how.
Her latest album explores softer themes. The trap, R&B, and pop songstress shows her romantic and whimsical side in “IOTA,” giving us a richer picture of the rising star.
Lous and the Yakuza’s Marie-Pierra Kakoma has such a strong vision for herself and her music that she paints two raised hands on herself. She hints at the symbol in her album’s opening song, “Ciel,” which means sky and is about spirituality. Love drives the album. Kakoma’s song “Trésor” is a cinematic ballad that could play during a love story montage in an indie French film.
Kakoma’s love ode is set in anime. Kakoma talks about her anime and manga collection on TikTok. Kokoma was inspired by Studio Ghibli and Satoshi Kon for “IOTA.” The music video for “Monsters” is her take on “My Neighbor Totoro” and “Spirited Away.”
